Source: IGGMIn fact, there is a feature used in both Dynasty and Road To Glory, which is Redshirting players. As we all know, a player’s time on the field is limited. This feature can give players an extra year.
For example, if you recruit a three-star recruit and he has great potential, but he is not a starting spot, you can redshirt him and give him an extra year.
Using the same NCAA 25 coins, our players can play longer. This is a great thing, but there are a few requirements that we need to pay attention to.
- Players can only redshirt once.
- If a player has only four appearances or fewer, he will automatically get redshirted, but this requirement is only in Dynasty and Road To Glory.
- Redshirting a player will affect their status in the team, and some players may enter Transfer Portal.
How To Redshirt A Player In Dynasty?
Redshirt Menu in Dynasty Mode can be found in Team Section , allowing players to redshirt a player in Redshirt Menu. In this menu, we can redshirt any player who has played less than four games. In addition, if you see someone’s name has turned gray, it means that they have completed their redshirt year.
We have to be careful when redshirting players, because if you redshirt a very experienced player, but they use playing time as a core value, you are likely to lose that player in Transfer Portal. So our advice is to redshirt players who want to be starters but will not play next season.
Become A Redshirt Player
To become a redshirted player in College Football 25 Road To Glory, you need to have played less than four games in your freshman year. Depending on our position and rating in Road To Glory, we may not have much time to play in our first season.
So we are very lucky that the team can redshirt us, so we have an extra year. There are several things we should consider when choosing a team to join.
If you want a full four-year-career, either choose a school that you can play immediately after joining, or choose a school that will allow you to redshirt after gaining experience points. The first method guarantees that you get playing time, and we can also use Transfer Portal. Before signing with a team, we can check the team’s depth chart on the team selection page on RTG.
If you do not want to play for Kennesaw State, you can redshirt. This will not only give you extra time to increase your XP but also four years of playing time.
Let’s say you are currently a three-star HB recruit in Kansas. As a starter, Devin Neal can see most carries, but you are at the bottom of depth chart. So, you can use this time to increase your XP, earn skill points, etc.
Also, we don’t recommend using skill points until the end of the season because if you gain enough XP and upgrade your attributes, then you’ll be in a position battle, which is not good if you earn a second-string spot, which can result in you playing more than four games.
So, when the starter is announced to the draft or graduates, the competition may be more intense. So, we now have a better chance to compete and even earn the starting job. Because there are so many schools and depth charts, how much play time you’ll get is very uncertain. So we have to decide where to play, which will affect our career.
That’s our guide to Redshirts in College Football 25. Hopefully, it helps you understand this knowledge. If you want to learn more, you can join the IGGM discord and there will have giveaway channel.
