  • Diablo 4: How To Upgrade Your Seneschal Companion In Season Of The Construct?

    Posted: Jan 25, 2024

Diablo 4 Season of the Construct introduces a ton of new content, but the most anticipated addition by fans is Seneschal Companion. This bot lets you have a sidekick in combat, as it can fight alongside you and help you through some of Season 3’s tougher encounters. However, when you first get Seneschal Companion, it won’t be very strong.

Fortunately, as you progress in Season 3, you can upgrade your companions, making them more powerful and giving them new abilities. It will help you in every aspect of Diablo 4 combat. To learn how to upgrade Seneschal Companion in Diablo 4, the guide below will explain everything.

How To Get Your Seneschal Companion?

The first mission of Season 3 begins in the southwestern port town of Gea Kul. If you activate a seasonal character, you will be asked to check for riots in the town. After some brief investigation, the season’s introductory quest, Ennead, is about to begin.

During Ennead, you’re tasked with entering a fissure in the earth northeast of Gea Kul. This will be the future location of Gatehall, the center of a town of this season.

As you enter the rift, you’ll encounter a new Construct family of enemies. None of these are particularly difficult, so just keep going down and watch out for the traps left by Zoltun Kul.

Once you explore more dungeons, you’ll meet Ayuzhan, your companion and quest giver throughout the season. He will ask you to put the runes you found in the town into a construct.

He will also give you the first Turning and Governing Stones, allowing your Seneschal Companion to attack enemies with lightning. If this doesn’t suit your build, don’t worry, you’ll have more soon.

Once you successfully activate Seneschal Construct, it becomes your companion for the rest of the season. You can find dozens of Turning and Governing Stones to customize their abilities, and you can also upgrade them by finding duplicates.

How To Upgrade Your Seneschal Construct?

First, Seneschals are not always low-level companions in Diablo, and the bots will scale with your character level. So as you progress in Season 3, your companions will become stronger.

Therefore, an easy way to make Seneschal more effective is to simply level up your own character, which can be easily done by participating in seasonal content.

However, if you really want your Seneschal to become your assistant and a true power, you need to give it Turning and Governing Stones.

Governing Stones determine what types of attacks your Seneschal can perform, while Turning Stones upgrade those attacks and make them stronger.

You can equip your Seneschal with two Governing Stones and attach three Turning Stones to each stone, for a total of six Turning Stones.

In Season 3, you can find a total of 12 Governing Stones and 27 Turning Stones. This means you’ll need to do a lot of looting if you want full freedom in customizing your companions.

How To Get Turning & Governing Stones?

In order to find Turning and Governing Stones, you can do a few different things in Season 3.

The first is to complete Vaults. You will be rewarded with a Turning Stone after each vault is completed.

When completing Vaults scattered across the map, you may discover Construct enemy types. When you defeat these constructs, they have a chance to drop Shattered Stones. You can spend Diablo 4 Gold to craft them into Turning or Governing Stones at Jeweler’s shop.

In Season 3, you can also get Shattered Stones by dismantling traps and Arcane Tremors in Vaults. Arcane Tremors can also spawn Governing Stones.

If you’re looking for Turning and Governing Stones, you can also check out Wardwoven Chests found throughout Sanctuary, then just complete the quest in Season 3.

Season of the Construct questline will also reward you with large amounts of stones in various treasure chests obtained when completing quests.

Once you have a certain number of Turning and Governing Stones, you can start customizing your Seneschal.

These stones are equipped through your inventory and filtered so that you can clearly see how the stones interact with each other. Governing Stones also illustrates the types of attacks they perform, making it easy to understand which Turning Stones will work well with them.

    Conclusion

That’s your comprehensive guide on how to find and upgrade your Seneschal Companion. We hope you now know what you need to know to create an unbreakable alliance with this powerful companion. Get ready, your companions will join you for the epic adventure that is about to begin!

  • Diablo 4 Season 3: Everything You Need To Know About Seneschal Companion!

    Posted: Jan 19, 2024

With the announcement of Diablo 4 Season of the Construct, we actually got a Seneschal Companion. You can enhance unique abilities with three additional support skills to make them useful.

With the new season, we get a brand new character customization menu. As you can see here, we will have the option to use our Governing Stones to enhance these abilities.

If you have played Path of Exile before, there are basically two 4 links active at all times. But this time it won’t be on you, it will be on your Seneschal Companion.

    Scaling Confirmed

We’ve also confirmed how Seneschal Companion will work. It will scale 1:1 with your own data. This is information from the developers of Diablo 4 class.

As you can see here, our attack rating is its attack rating, our crit is its crit and so on. If it’s affecting your raw stat increase or damage bonus, it will also affect Seneschal Companion on a one-to-one basis.

So something like Accelerating Aspect will not only be useful for you, but it will also increase the attack speed of your followers.

    Acquire Follower

Now it’s going to be super easy to get this little guy. Because we can get it through Seasonal Questline.

It’s unclear if it’s melee or ranged, only that as you can see here, it has the same position as the ranged character. It looks like it may be firing or preparing to fire.

So maybe you can choose melee or ranged play style for your Seneschal Companion. Therefore, it can better suit your build.

If you’re not a Necromancer and have Corpse Tendrils, Seneschal Companion can actually do this for you with its skills. So you’ll basically get a miniature Corpse Tendrils on your pet, which will help you collect Diablo 4 Gold easily.

    Unkillable Follower

What’s more, your Seneschal Companion actually doesn’t die, so you never have to worry about its location or health. Since it has features like this, you can just forget about it and focus on upgrading your skills, and never have to worry about the Seneschal Companion dying and affecting you.

    How Does It Work?

You’ll be able to equip two Governing Stones, which are primarily skill-based, and then enhance them with three Tuning Stones each.

As you can see on the menu, we currently have these Tuning Stones selected. These can be upgraded by sacrificing a pair or three of the same stone, essentially upgrading it by a level.

Plus, Tuning Stones actually come in unique colors. For example, you have these red or orange ones like Genesis and Evernight. You also have things like Tactical Support, which are blue.

We need to see if they are divided according to the type of their abilities, such as whether they are more offensive, whether they are more practical, whether they are more defensive.

    De-specializing Supports

What I find more interesting is that Tuning Stones or support skills are basically de-specialized. If it weren’t because they were de-specializing, it would be very easy to mix and match the right things together right away.

So, as you can see, we do have something like an explosion. If it’s specialized, it’s basically going to do damage, and there will be things like that will do more damage to your explosion. But not this time.

This is actually the right thing to do, and it’s what Path of Exile is currently doing. The idea is to have professional support skills. This means they are very versatile, so they create a lot of opportunities and possibilities for mixing them together in a very smart and fun way. Best of all, you can already see how crazy these combinations are going to be.

    Hidden Stones

We also have two fabled Tuning Stones that will be discovered during Season Journey. We don’t yet know what they do.

But because we know these are Tuning Stones. So these will be support skills and enhance the abilities of Governing Stones and Seneschal Companion.

Not knowing what it would actually be made it all the more interesting. We can actually expect to find it and then potentially generate another set of builds. Because these can be powerful for the average Diablo 4 theory crafter.

Overall, Seneschal Companion appears to be a core mechanic with a considerable scope for the number of potential combinations. However, time will tell how exciting the gameplay it offers will be, as you’ll have more options to fine-tune your builds!
