Elden Ring is a massive MMORPG that quickly transports players to its huge open world. Players enter the game and there are some optional bosses waiting for them to defeat outside the dungeon before they start. 7. Get Crafting Kit

After entering the gate of Limgrave, you will see a ruined church not far from you. The advice for new players is to ignore those Tree Sentinels for the time being and go directly to Church Of Elleh.

Some Golden Runes are located in front of the church, which players can use to obtain sufficient Elden Ring Runes. Once you have those runes, you can get a Crafting Kit from Merchant Kale. Crafting them will become a mechanic throughout the game, providing players with various useful items.

6. Find Maps

Most of the other maps are useless, except for some maps that players find to add more details to specific areas. For example, when you have a map of Sites of Grace, you will find many points of interest. This will allow you to explore the area more comprehensively.

Even on a blank map, the area you are currently in will be shown as the only icon on the map - a small orange rectangle. For example, the first map of Limgrave, which we just talked about, will be found at Church of Elleh along the main road in the middle.

5. Meet Melina & Get Torrent

On the west side of the ruins just now, there will be a Site Of Grace. If you stop here, some animations will be triggered. You will meet Melina here, and she will become your Maiden after accepting her proposal. Melina’s chief function is to use runes at any Site Of Grace in the game to help you level up.

Melina also gives you Spectral Steed Whistle, which allows you to summon Torrents to help you in most of the open world. You can also ride that horse to fight wild bosses, which will give you an advantage.

4. Complete Groveside Cave

The western cliff between Church of Elleh and the northern ruins is called Groveside Cave and is guarded by a few soldiers. This cave is relatively short and easy to pass through. The enemies inside are not much different from those outside, and the boss at the end is also one of the easiest in the game.

Clearing everything in this cave will quickly increase your runes, and will also allow you to level up once less, allowing you to travel farther and fight higher-level bosses more quickly.

3. Meet Renna And Get Spirit Calling Bell

When you fail to kill the boss for the first time, you will return to Church of Elleh at night and talk to Melina. Renna will call you from the broken wall north of the church. If she is not there, you can try to stop by Site Of Grace and she will appear.

2. Explore Limgrave Tunnels

Going south of Limgrave, you will enter a main lake. Then follow the northernmost end of the lake to find Limgrave Tunnels. This is also the first Smithing Stone cave you can explore.

Clearing this tunnel will give you a lot of Smithing Stones, which can be used at the Blacksmith station near the church to upgrade your weapons and armor in Elden Ring. Tunnels like this will appear in every area and function similarly.

1. Get Flask Of Wondrous Physick

Once you find Torrent, you can head east of Limgrave to find a map of this area. You will come to a fork in the road and you have to choose the path that goes north. It will lead you to Third Church Of Marika, where you can pick up Flask of Wondrous Physick.

You can customize this bottle based on existing Crystal Tears, and other bottles can be found in churches in other regions. Besides this, you can also find a Sacred Tear here. This can increase the effectiveness of each charge of Flask of Crimson Tears and Flask of Cerulean Tears.
