Recently, Lost Ark has a new event designed to give some progress. The Express Mission event has now changed, adding a limited one-use character change option and changes to Engraving Selection Chests.

In the most recent update, CM Roxx updated this Thursday’s weekly maintenance period, the event will be changed to add this new option. Because so many players said they started the Express Mission event with one character, only to realize that another character on their roster would benefit from it better. So the developers changed this.

Amazon is working with Smilegate on this and better communication, but for those who want to change their Express Mission role, a one-time character change option will be added on Thursday. If players use the wrong character, they can use this option to make a more informed decision. They can choose or switch to any level 50 character with an item level below 1,100 to accept the challenge and earn rewards. They can also prepare enough Lost Ark Gold to level up.

Engraving Selection Chests have also changed, so players will want to avoid opening anything they might still have before the update. These will contain all the recipe selection options. However, there are some exceptions. If players have already used the event’s honing benefit on T1 or T2 gear pieces, they cannot swap characters. If they only honed T3 gear on the event character, then it’s possible to switch.

If players have already claimed some rewards, they won’t be able to get them on the new character, which avoids double rewarding the same player. All rewards for the event are character bound, so if players are considering changing their character, please do not use any of them until the update later this week.
