It’s been a while since our last treasure hunting adventure in Monopoly Go. However, Sofia was back again on August 8th at 9am EST and was leading us through the desert in search of dinosaur-themed treasures until August 12th at 4pm EST.

In this Dino Treasures event, you have 25 milestones to complete, some of which require us to find thicker rocks or small treasures in enormous areas of sand. We hope you will encounter some moles along the way, as they can help you clear entire rows or columns at once!

How To Collect Pickaxes?

Dino Treasures event is similar to treasure hunting events in Monopoly Go, and instead of relying on your position on the board, they focus on obtaining pickaxes from other activities and using these pickaxes to dig for treasure in the desert during the event. Typically, these pickaxes are prizes earned by participating in tournaments and other events.

Jurassic Journey event has launched on the center screen, and to provide more opportunities to win pickaxes, Monopoly Go will be hosting a second center screen event each day throughout the event, as well as multiple daily tournaments.

However, as with the last treasure hunt, you’ll come across some board tiles with rocks that require multiple hits to break, while regular sand tiles only take one. This will consume an extra pickaxe, so make sure to hit the sturdier rocks before using your pickaxe. There’s nothing more disappointing than wasting them only to find out there’s nothing underneath!

Try To Find Hidden Mole Excavators

Luckily, hidden mole excavators have reappeared, and you may find them sporadically around the sand grids you’re digging. These little helpers can clear multiple tiles around them, whether it’s a vertical column, a horizontal row, or occasionally eight tiles around themselves.

Hopefully, you can find a few of these, and they’ll help you reach Milestone 25 in Dino Treasures this weekend. The biggest reward is a new board token for a very cool dinosaur skull, although it may be a little difficult to get after completing Milestone 20. But along the way, you can also pick up a new shield, which is one of the easier aesthetic rewards to earn in Dino Treasures’ 11th milestone this weekend, and when they’re all together, it looks pretty Jurassic!

If you didn’t snatch up the stickers in the first-place prize pool during City Racers event, you’ll have another chance to get a wild sticker at the final milestone, with the option to pick any stickers missing from your current album. This coveted sticker reward lets you pick up missing Monopoly Go Cards from Monopoly Games album as your prize, and being able to hand-pick a golden five-star sticker is a great perk as you inch closer to completing the entire album.

In addition, there are multiple sticker packs to help you complete these albums, including a purple sticker pack at Milestone 15. You’ll also find plenty of extra dice rolls and generous cash prizes to help you keep continue to rack up points in other tournaments, and continue to collect pickaxes to participate in Dino Treasures.
